Sir Nwagwu Aloysius Emeka is an accomplished Nigerian Geophysicist with an academic foundation marked by excellence. He holds a B.Sc. in Applied Geophysics – graduating as best Student in 1982 – and an M.Sc. In Petroleum Geophysics from the University of Port Harcourt. He has over 4 decades experience in Oil and Gas Industry. He contributed significantly to siesmic data acquisition and major oil and gas projects across the Niger Delta, Chad Basin, Benue Trough, and AnambraBasin.

Sir Nwagwu’s professional development includes extensive training both in Nigeria and overseas, covering seismic operations, safety management, project execution, deep water acquisition, entering and re-entering of areas based on community public relation and access for oil and gas exploration and explotiation. In addition, Sir Nwagwu is quite experienced in the development of security architecture as well as contract bidding of major projects.

Sir Nwagwu attended several courses on project management and has mentored a lot of key personnel in Oil and Gas industry. He is a dedicated community leader and devout Catholic, he is a 4th – Degree Knight of St. Mulumba and has served on various boards, including Regina Caelli Hospital, Awka, CAPAD Gas Station – all belonging to the Catholic Diocese of Awka, Anambra State. In addition, he is a former member of Awka Catholic Diocesan Finance Committee. Sir Nwagwu is a member of Nigerian Assocation of Petroleum Explorationists.
